Peritol is H1-histamine receptor blocker with anti-serotonin activity. By blocking H1 histamine receptors Peritol helps prevent and relieve allergy symptoms. It exerts antipruritic, anti-exudative, anticholinergic and sedative action. Peritol stimulates appetite, blocks hypersecretion of somatotropin in acromegaly and secretion of adrenocorticotropic hormone in patients with Itsenko-Cushing syndrome.
