Singulair is a type of drugs that acts as an inhibitor for leukotrien - chemicals that are released by your body when you breathe in an allergen (for example pollen). Singulair can be bought only with a prescription, it is obligatory to consult with a doctor before starting treatment.

Which conditions are treated with Singulair?

• Bronchial asthma
• Exercise-induced bronchoconstriction

What should a patient know before using Singulair?

The medicine should not be used in cases of:

• Hypersensitivity to any component of a drug
• Pregnancy, lactation period
• Children up to age of 6

Which adverse effects may manifest when using the medication?

The side effects of Singulair include:

• Pain in the stomach
• Nausea
• Headache
• Coughing, sinusitis, pharyngitis
