How does Jeanine work and what pharmaceutical group does it belong to?

The preparation is a monophasic combined gestogen-estrogen drug. The drug suppresses release of gonadotropic hormones, affects the process of ovulation and slows the development of follicles. Increase the viscosity of cervical mucous, thus preventing the penetration of spermatozoon in to the uterus. During the use of the drug the menstrual cycle becomes more regular, painful menstruations are seen less.

Which conditions are treated with Jeanine?

The drug is a hormonal contraceptive used to prevent unwanted pregnancy. ?The drug may also be prescribed in treatment of the following:

• Acne
• Seborrhea
• Hirsutism
• Androgen induced alopecia

What should a patient know before using Jeanine?

The Jeanine should not be used in cases of:

• Thrombosis
• Diabetes
• Sever liver disorders
• Benign or malignant hyperplasia
• Vaginal bleeding of undetermined genesis
• Pregnancy
• Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparation

Which adverse effects may manifest when using the medication?

The side effects of Jeanine include:

• Gastrointestinal tract: nausea, vomiting
• Urogenital system system: changes in vaginal secretion
• Endocrine system: mammary gland tenderness, changes in body weight, libido changes
• CNS: mood changes, headaches, migraines
• Other: Fluid retention, allergic reactions and etc.
