Avanida is an oral hypoglycemic drugs. The drug is a selective agonist of peroxisomal proliferator activated gamma receptors. The drug works by decreases the levels of glucose in blood and increases sensitivity to insulin of the fat tissue, muscles and liver tissue, improves tissue metabolism and decreases the levels of glucose, insulin and free fatty acids.
