The commercial name of the medication may differ from the brand one. Generic Latisse manufactured by Ajanta is available under commercial name Bimat. Generic Latisse comes with one applicator brush.

How does Latisse work and what pharmaceutical group does it belong to?

The preparation belongs to a group of drugs called prostaglandines. It works by improving hair growth by affecting the hair follicles.

Which conditions are treated with Latisse?

Latisse is the only FDA approved preparation for treatment of inadequate eyelash hair growth.

What should a patient know before using Latisse?

The Latisse should not be used in cases of:

• Hypersensitivity ti the components of the preparation
• Pregnancy
• Lactation period

Which adverse effects may manifest when using the medication?

The side effects of Latisse include:

• Sensory organs: blurry vision, red eyes, darkened eyelashes, temporary burning sensation, permanent change of the iris color.
