Aciphex is an antiulcer agent which belongs to the group of proton pump inhibitors. Rabeprazole is the active ingredient of the medication. Pariet blocks the final stage of hydrochloric acid secretion reducing content of bazal and stimulated secretion independent of the irritant nature. It possesses high lipophilicity, easily penetrates into parietal cells and concentrates there exerting cytoprotective effects and increasing bicarbonate secretion. Aciphex does not affect the central nervous system function, cardio-vascular and respiratory system.
