How does Hoodia work and what pharmaceutical group does it belong to?

The preparation exerts anorexigenic, hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effects. The drug contains a concentrated extract of Hoodia Gordoni which includes a specific biological substance called molecule P57 that affects the hunger center in the brain and decreases appetite, thus decreasing the quantities of food consumed.

Which conditions are treated with Hoodia?

The drug is recommended in obesity prophylaxis and as complex therapy in treatment of obesity.

What should a patient know before using Hoodia?

The Hoodia should not be used in cases of:

• Pregnancy
• Breastfeeding
• Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation

Which adverse effects may manifest when using the medication?
